Battle of York Day

April 28, 2015

This past Sunday The Drums 1812 were at Fort York in Toronto, Ontario to commemorate the Battle of York. This was The Drums very first event of the season and it was a very good opportunity for us to shake off the cobwebs that had accumulated over the winter months. We also took the opportunity to roll out our new formal presentation show for the first time.

It was an opportunity for our newest drummer, Theo Guenther to take his "Green Jacket Test", making the transition from a recruit to the rank of Drummer. Congratulations to Theo on sucessfully advancing!

Over all it was a beneficial day for everyone and was an excellent step in preperation for our trip across the pond to Waterloo, Belgium this June.

The next event for The Drums Crown Forces 1812 will also be at Fort York where we will be taking part in the anual Victoria Day Celebrations on May 18, 2015.
